UK, September 1st, 2009 Applicable, a managed service company providing IBM collaboration, unified communications and social computing solutions, today announced it has formed an alliance with Collaboration Matters, the UK’s leading provider IBM Lotus Connections and Quickr. The partnership is a significant step in the development of the Applicable alliance program and further bolsters Applicable’s capability within this sector.
Applicable have been delivering solutions in the messaging and collaboration space for 10 years and the alliance with Collaboration Matters adds to the significant skills in delivering IBM Lotus Connections and IBM Lotus collaborative solutions. It adds SaaS offerings to Collaboration Matters with the ability to leverage Applicable’s proven track record in providing Software as a Service (SaaS) solutions into their customers.

Collaboration Matters were seeking a partner who had the ability to offer a true always-on worldwide delivery of IBM Lotus Connections in a SaaS model to enable its customers to take advantage of the latest developments of IBM Lotus Connections in a cloud without compromise, delivering all the well understood benefits of cloud computing without concessions to features or functionality. One of the aims of the alliance is to bring together the 2 leading providers of social computing and SaaS to provide a compelling offering around the IBM Lotus Connections product. This alliance coincides with the announcement that Applicable have launched the UK and Australia’s first IBM Lotus SaaS offering for IBM Lotus Domino, Quickr, Sametime and Connections. As an alternative to the traditional IBM’s Passport Advantage agreements, this new Applicable service will allow customers the option to purchase either data centre or customer premises licenses on a true per user / per month model with no minimum contracted term.
