Applicable UK is pleased to announce the appointment of Sharon Morgan as Alliances & Marketing Manager for the Microsoft business unit.
Sharon’s understanding of the Microsoft channel coupled with her significant experience in the IT industry and strong business acumen will be invaluable in this new role within the team. Since being appointed to the role, Sharon has helped to define the Microsoft go to market strategy around Exchange, SharePoint, BPOS and Office Communications Server. This has involved initiating, developing and executing Business Development Programs with Microsoft that consistently deliver high quality customer leads, license revenue for Microsoft and Services revenue for Applicable and our strategic channel partners such as Quest Software.
Sharon's responsibilities include identifying new opportunities/revenue streams, executing new business strategies, initiating contact with prospective clients, identifying profitable opportunities, and managing ongoing partner relationships.
Prior to her appointment with Applicable, Sharon has worked in the IT industry for many years, both in services and sales roles. More recently she spent 4 years with Microsoft UK, initially joining the EPG division as a Technical Account Manager before moving into the SMS&P division as a Partner Account Manager where she managed a portfolio of 8 services partners.
For the past 3 years Sharon has worked with Microsoft in the UK as an Alliances Manager for Gold Partners wishing to engage with Microsoft. The key objective has been to drive on-going and recurring revenue streams by driving solution opportunities with the Microsoft partner and sales teams. Key areas of activity have included: developing joint sector business plans, campaign propositions, pipeline management, marketing support, and extending vertical focus.
