Are you an experienced identity consultant who can combine technical depth with strong customer engagement? We’re looking for a Senior Consultant (Identity & Access) to join our consultancy team and help customers plan, design and deliver complex identity transformation programmes across Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID and hybrid identity environments.
In this role, you’ll lead discovery, design and planning activity with customers, partners and internal delivery teams. You’ll help translate business drivers, technical requirements, risks and dependencies into clear, practical delivery approaches, giving stakeholders confidence in the recommended direction and the steps needed to achieve successful outcomes.
You’ll play a lead role in Active Directory migration and transformation work, including large-scale forest and domain migrations, consolidations, separations, coexistence and cutover planning. This will involve assessing current-state environments, shaping target-state designs, advising on trusts, DNS, OU structure, Group Policy, delegation, security baselines and migration readiness, and supporting pilot, wave, validation, rollback and hypercare activity.
Alongside Active Directory, you’ll provide consultancy and delivery input across Microsoft Entra ID and hybrid identity. You’ll advise customers on Entra Connect, directory synchronisation, authentication methods, Conditional Access, Entra trust, Entra External ID, identity governance and related security controls, ensuring identity decisions are aligned to wider infrastructure, endpoint, application and operational requirements.
You’ll be expected to bring structure and clarity to complex engagements, leading workshops, capturing requirements, driving decisions and producing high-quality written outputs such as discovery findings, design documents, migration approaches, workshop summaries, decision records, migration plans, runbooks, test plans, validation evidence and handover material.
As part of a customer-facing consultancy, you’ll communicate confidently with technical and non-technical audiences, adapting the level of detail to suit the situation. You’ll work closely with project managers, architects, security teams, infrastructure teams, application teams and external partners, providing clear updates on progress, risks, issues and decisions throughout the engagement lifecycle.
We’re looking for strong consultancy experience, with proven ability to lead discovery, design and planning activity in customer-facing environments. You’ll bring demonstrable experience delivering or advising on large-scale Active Directory migrations and restructures, strong Active Directory knowledge, strong Microsoft Entra and hybrid identity skills, and experience using migration tooling such as Quest On Demand Migration, Quest Migration Manager, ADMT or similar.
Desirable experience includes supporting merger, acquisition, divestment or tenant separation scenarios involving identity change, an understanding of Microsoft 365, endpoint management, Intune and device join considerations where these are impacted by identity transformation, and experience contributing to statements of work, estimates, pre-sales activity or technical proposals. Relevant Microsoft certifications in identity, security or Azure would also be beneficial.
If you’re consultative, customer-focused and calm under pressure, with the confidence to lead complex identity conversations and the focus to turn them into practical outcomes, we’d love to hear from you.
